Resonate Testing Newsletter December 2023

Welcome to the latest edition of the Resonate Testing newsletter. November was a particularly busy month as we prepared for and exhibited at the UK Space Conference in Belfast. We organised a dinner for over 100 delegates, we also exhibited at the Advanced Engineering show, and have been supporting a number of companies on exciting space projects! Scroll down to for a full round up!

VIP Dinner At Titanic Belfast

It was our pleasure to bring together business colleagues, MLAs, academia, and industry peers from across the UK Space sector on the first evening of the UK Space Conference.

With over 120 guests, it was a great opportunity to extend our hand of friendship with some good old fashioned Irish hospitality, and make meaningful connections and of course, discuss our favourite topic of ‘space’.

A great evening was had by all that attended, and we look forward to building upon these connections in the future.

Soaring into the Future: Resonate Testing at the UK Space Conference

The Resonate Testing Ltd team recently embarked on an exhilarating journey to the UK Space Conference at the ICC Belfast | Waterfront Hall | Ulster Hall from 21 – 23 November.

The conference brought together a multitude of industry experts and professionals from over 30 countries. As exhibitors, we seized this unique opportunity to showcase our capabilities and to connect within the global space industry.

Over the course of the three days, the team engaged with many space industry peers, forged valuable connections and welcomed renowned VIPs to our stand including Irish Aeronautical Engineer, Norah Patten, Northern Ireland’s Minister of State, Steve Baker and CEO of the UK Space Agency, Dr Paul Bate, to name a few!

We would like to extend our thanks to the UK Space Agency for organising the UK Space Conference and for hosting it in our home region this year.

With numerous projects in our pipeline, we eagerly anticipate 2024!

Looking for Some Clear Space

Resonate Testing has joined with Queen’s University Belfast’s, School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, to support a project that will help deal with the problem of so-called space junk.

The partnership with the Northern Ireland Research Cube Sat programme (NIRCSAT) aims to develop a cost-effective system to deal with the increasing problem of orbiting debris in space. The project aims to design and develop an innovative solution for space debris removal.

We Started November at the Advanced Engineering Show in Birmingham

Michael Hudson, Chief Engineer and Ian Stewart, Quality Engineer for Resonate Testing attended the Advanced Engineering Exhibition at The NEC, Birmingham from the 1-2 November.

One of the largest annual events in the engineering and manufacturing calendar, the exhibition presented a good opportunity for the Resonate Testing team to develop further connections with industry peers across a number of sectors, including automotive and medical.

Over the two days Ian and Michael engaged in discussions with representatives from both large organisations and SMEs who were able to provide us with a fresh perspective on the ever-evolving world of engineering and their growing need for product testing.

The Ariane 6 is a Truly Collective Adventure

Irish space company Réaltra Space Systems Engineering signed an agreement with ArianeGroup, the prime contractor to @European Space Agency for the development of Ariane 6, to design, develop and deliver on-board live telemetry for Europe’s next-generation Ariane 6 launch vehicle.

Resonate Testing is very proud to be supporting the excellent team of engineers and technicians in Réaltra Space by undertaking their development and subsequent vibration and SRS Shock testing certification of the battery system for the new A6 VIKI video kit (Ariane 6 Video Telemetry (VIKI).

ISO 9001 Certification Passed with Flying Colours!

We are pleased to have successfully completed our ISO9001:2015 audit for our eighth consecutive year since achieving certification and are delighted to report we had zero non-conformities!

Ian Stewart, our Quality Engineer commented: “This is further evidence of our commitment to delivering the highest possible quality for our customers. We have a team with decades of engineering experience that is continually redefining our processes and testing facilities so that we can exceed our customers’ expectations. With zero non-conformities identified this is a massive validation of Resonate Testing, our processes, and every member of our team.”
