Aerospace Qualification & Environmental Testing Standards

Resonate Testing supports aerospace tests under RTCA DO-160, EUROCAE ED-14G, FAR/CS Part 25, IEC 60068 and more.  We provide environmental testing, vibration and shock testing, and aerospace fire testing all under one roof.

Your Test Facilitator. Not simply a Test Facility.

Resonate Testing supports qualification, validation and development testing against recognised aerospace, defence and environmental standards.

Common Aerospace Testing Disciplines

  • Vibration Testing

Vibration testing evaluates a product’s ability to withstand dynamic loads encountered during transportation, launch, flight and operational service. Testing may simulate aircraft vibration, helicopter rotor effects, engine-induced vibration or transportation environments.

  • Mechanical Shock Testing

Mechanical shock testing assesses the effects of sudden impacts and transient events such as handling, drops, landings, deployment events and operational shocks.

  • Temperature Testing

Temperature testing evaluates performance at elevated and low temperature conditions to verify operational suitability and identify thermal-related failures.

  • Thermal Cycling

Thermal cycling repeatedly exposes products to changing temperatures to identify issues caused by expansion, contraction and material fatigue.

  • Humidity Testing

Humidity testing assesses equipment performance when exposed to moisture-rich environments that may contribute to corrosion, insulation breakdown or performance degradation.

  • Altitude Testing

Altitude testing simulates reduced atmospheric pressure encountered at high operating elevations or during aircraft operation.

  • Salt Spray Testing

Salt spray testing evaluates resistance to corrosive environments commonly encountered in marine, coastal and naval operating conditions.

  • Dust & Sand Testing

Dust and sand testing assesses the ability of equipment to withstand exposure to airborne particulates that may affect functionality or reliability.

  • Water Ingress Testing

Ingress protection testing evaluates resistance to water exposure, rain and environmental contamination.

  • Fire Testing

Fire testing assesses material and component behaviour under elevated temperatures and flame exposure conditions to support safety and regulatory requirements.

How to Select the Appropriate Standard

The correct testing standard depends on:

  • Product type
  • Installation location
  • Operating environment
  • Customer requirements
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Certification objectives

In many programmes, multiple standards may be used together to demonstrate compliance and product suitability
